1 packet(s) orange Jell-O
¾ c. boiling water
½ c. cold water
1 packet(s) white cake mix, plus ingredients called for on package
whipped cream or Cool Whip, optional

Directions

  1. Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in cold water. Set aside.
  2. Prepare cake in a 9-by-13-inch cake pan as directed on package. Cool cake 20 to 25 minutes.
  3. Poke deep holes through top of warm cake with a fork. Slowly pour Jell-O onto cake.
  4. Frost with whipped cream or Cool Whip, if desired.
