    5 qt. popped popcorn
    2 c. sugar
    1 ½ c. water
    ½ tsp. salt
    ½ c. corn syrup
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. vanilla


    1. Place popcorn in a large bowl.
    2. Butter sides of saucepan. Combine sugar, water, salt, syrup and vinegar in saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook to hard-ball stage. Stir in vanilla. Slowly pour over popcorn, stirring just to coat.
    3. Butter hands and shape popcorn into balls.
