    Description

Lil’ Mac Sliders mimic a fast-food classic--but a mini version. The double-stacked burgers are seasoned with a hint of onion dip mix and a layer of cheese, and the “secret” sauce is really just Thousand Island dressing.

    Things To Grab

    • 13x9x1-in. baking pan
    • Medium bowl
    • Instant-read thermometer
    • Pizza cutter
    • Medium rimmed baking pan
    • Silicone pastry brush

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degress. Line a 13x9x1-in. baking pan with foil; set aside. Combine ground beef and onion dip in a medium bowl; do not over mix.

    2. Press ground beef mixture evenly in prepared pan, pressing to edges of pan. Sprinkle with steak & burger seasoning.

    3. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes or until browned and beef mixture reaches 165 degrees, patting excess drippings from meat mixture during the last 1 to 2 minutes of baking.

    4. Top half of beef with cheese slices in a single layer. Bake for 1 to 2 minutes more or until cheese begins to melt. Remove from oven. Using a pizza cutter, cut beef into 12 (2¼x2-in.) patties (6 with cheese and 6 without cheese).

    5. Meanwhile, place buns in another medium rimmed baking pan. To garnish, brush bun tops with oil; sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired. Place in oven and bake for 1 to 2 minutes or just until buns are heated through.

    6. To serve, split buns open; spread cut sides of bun bottoms with Thousand Island dressing; add half of lettuce. Top each with 1 cheese-topped patty, 1 plain patty and 2 pickle slices. Add remaining half of lettuce and bun tops.
