|2 (16 oz each) cans refried beans|
|1 (12 oz) jar fresh salsa|
|1 (12 oz) carton sour cream|
|1 (1 oz) pkg taco seasoning mix|
|12 oz. shredded cheddar cheese|
|2 tomatoes, diced|
|1 (3.8 oz) can sliced black olives, drained|
|1 bunch(es) green onions, sliced thinly on the diagonal|
|1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped, optional|
|2 avocadoes, seeded and chopped, optional|
|tortilla chips, for serving|

Combine sour cream and taco seasoning; layer over beans.
Sprinkle remaining toppings in layers: shredded cheese, tomatoes, black olives, onion and jalapeno pepper and avocado, if desired. Chill until ready to serve.
