    2(16 oz each) cans refried beans
    1(12 oz) jar fresh salsa
    1(12 oz) carton sour cream
    1(1 oz) pkg taco seasoning mix
    12 oz.shredded cheddar cheese
    2tomatoes, diced
    1(3.8 oz) can sliced black olives, drained
    1 bunch(es)green onions, sliced thinly on the diagonal
    1jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped, optional
    2avocadoes, seeded and chopped, optional
    tortilla chips, for serving


    1. Mix refried beans and salsa together for a dip-like consistency; spread on large serving dish.
    2. Combine sour cream and taco seasoning; layer over beans.
    3. Sprinkle remaining toppings in layers: shredded cheese, tomatoes, black olives, onion and jalapeno pepper and avocado, if desired. Chill until ready to serve.
    4. Serve with tortilla chips.
