Serves 4
1 lbs. green beans, trimmed
1 ½ tbsp. butter or extra-virgin olive oil (to make it dairy-free)
⅓ c. pecans, chopped
1 clove(s) garlic, minced
⅓ c. cranberries
Salt and pepper, to taste
Ground flaxseed, optional


  1. Simmer green beans in a large skillet in salted water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, melt the butter or heat the oil. Saute pecans and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the green beans and cranberries and heat through. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir in ground flaxseed, if desired.
