    3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, split in half
    salt
    6 thin slices cooked ham
    6 thin slices Swiss cheese
    flour
    melted butter or oil
    ¼ c. water
    1 cube(s) chicken bouillon
    ⅓ c. Sauterne or white cooking wine
    1 (3 oz) can sliced mushrooms
    additional water, if needed

    Directions

    1. Pound or tenderize chicken. Sprinkle with salt.
    2. Place 1 thin slice of ham and 1 thin slice of Swiss cheese on each breast. Roll up chicken breast and tie with string.
    3. Roll each piece in flour. Brown lightly in butter or oil.
    4. Place chicken breasts in a casserole with a lid.
    5. Place 1/4 cup water, chicken bouillon cube, wine and mushrooms in the same frying pan in which the chicken was browned. Bring sauce to a boil. Pour over chicken in casserole dish.
    6. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 1-1/4 hours.
    7. Check often to make sure liquid has not boiled off. If so, add more water.
