    4 (3/4-inch thick) boneless pork chops
    2 tbsp. packed brown sugar
    salt and pepper, to taste
    ⅛ tsp. cinnamon
    ⅛ tsp. ground nutmeg
    2 tbsp. butter
    2 medium tart red apples, cored and sliced into 1/2-inch wedges.
    3 tbsp. chopped pecans

    Directions

    1. Heat skillet over medium-high heat.
    2. Saute chops, 5 to 6 minutes, turning occasionally, until both sides are evenly browned. Remove and keep warm.
    3. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg.
    4. Add butter to skillet and stir in brown sugar mixture and apples. Cover and cook for 3 to 4 minutes or just until apples are tender.
    5. Remove apples with a slotted spoon and arrange on top of chops. Keep warm.
    6. Continue cooking mixture in skillet, uncovered, until sauce thickens slightly.
    7. Spoon sauce over apples and chops. Sprinkle with pecans.
