    1 ½ c. Hy-Vee apple juice
    ¼ c. reduced-sodium soy sauce
    2 tbsp. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee lemon pepper
    8 oz. thick-cut pork chop
    1 c. Minute rice, uncooked

    Directions

    1. Whisk together juice, soy sauce, brown sugar and lemon pepper. Reserve 1 cup; refrigerate until needed.
    2. Slice pork chop in half vertically. Combine remaining marinade and pork chops in a resealable bag. Refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.
    3. Remove chops from marinade; discard marinade. Broil chops for 7 minutes. Turn; broil an additional 5 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 145 degrees. Let rest for 3 minutes.
    4. Meanwhile, prepare rice according to package directions using reserved marinade instead of water.
