    1 ½ to 2 pounds marlin steaks (about 1-inch thick), rinsed in cold water and patted dry
    6 clove(s) garlic, minced
    6 tbsp. olive oil for marinade, plus 1 1/2 to 2 additional tbsp, divided
    2 tbsp. finely chopped fresh thyme leaves
    salt, to taste
    black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
    fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
    2 lemons, cut into quarters

    Directions

    1. Brush the marlin steaks with mix of garlic, 6 tbsp olive oil, thyme, salt and black pepper and allow to marinate (about 30 minutes), at room temperature.
    2. Heat barbecue grill to hot and place steaks on grill; cook 4 to 5 minutes, each side, or until fish is opaque. Do not overcook. Remove steaks from grill, drizzle additional olive oil over the top and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with wedges of lemon to the side.
