The very first part is optional, but we like to use a large-barrel curling iron to make loose vertical waves or curls. Then start by pulling your hair into a low, loose ponytail and secure with an elastic band.
Grab a small section of the ponytail hair. At this point, you can add a little extra volume to the strand by back-combing or teasing it. Then twist the strand of hair, loop it at the base of the ponytail and pin it in place. Repeat for the rest of the ponytail hair.
For a slight pouf at the crown, gently pull a few strands slightly (not all the way) out of the ponytail band. To finish, pull a strand or two forward to frame your face.
