Servings and Ingredients

Ingredients
Serves 6
QuantityIngredientAdd
6 c. water
1 c. Thai tea
½ c. sugar
6 tbsp. sweetened condensed milk, divided
6 to 12 tbsp half and half, divided

Directions

  1. Bring the water to a boil. Place the tea in a teapot or glass container. Pour the water over the tea and steep until bright orange, 3 to 5 minutes. Alternately, place the tea in a coffee filter and securely close with a food-safe rubber band or tie closed with kitchen twine; pour hot water over filter and steep until bright orange, 4 to 6 minutes.
  2. Strain tea into a clean container, such as a pitcher. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Cool to room temperature; cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Fill 6 tall glasses with ice and add tea to 3/4 full. Add 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk to each glass and stir to combine. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons half and half to top of glass and allow to slowly fall and swirl; serve immediately.
