Directions
Heat oil and butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion; cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until softened. Stir in basil paste and garlic; cook for 30 seconds.
Add ground beef, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes over medium-high heat or until browned, stirring occasionally to break into crumbles. Drain and discard drippings. Stir in pasta sauce. Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes or until thickened.
Divide fries among 8 serving dishes. Top with cheese curds, ground beef mixture, and tomatoes. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired.
