    ½ c. sugar
    ½ c. chocolate chips
    ¼ c. margarine or butter
    1 (5 oz) can evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    ice cream, for serving


    1. In a 4-cup microwave-safe glass measuring cup, combine sugar, chocolate chips, margarine and milk. Microwave uncovered for 2 to 3 minutes or until bubbly, stirring after each minute of cooking time.
    2. Cook on HIGH for 3 more minutes, or until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is thickened, stirring once. Stir in vanilla.
    3. Serve warm over ice cream.
    4. Cover and refrigerate any remaining sauce.
