    2 clove(s) garlic, crushed, or about 1/4 tsp garlic powder
    2 tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. pepper
    ½ c. soy sauce
    1 tsp. ginger
    2 tbsp. vegetable oil
    ½ c. water


    1. Combine garlic, brown sugar, pepper, soy sauce, ginger, oil and water.
    2. Marinate meat, covered, in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours before cooking.
    3. Discard marinade before cooking.
