    1 (8 count) pkg refrigerated Hy-Vee crescent rolls
    1 lbs. Italian sausage
    ½ medium white onion, chopped
    1 (2 oz) can Hy-Vee sliced mushrooms, drained
    2 (15 oz each) cans Hy-Vee chili beans, slightly drained
    1 (28 oz) can Hy-Vee homestyle baked beans, slightly drained
    1 ¼ c. Hy-Vee baking mix
    ⅓ c. water

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Spread crescent rolls flat over bottom of an ungreased 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    3. Meanwhile, in a medium skillet, brown sausage over medium-high heat.
    4. Transfer sausage to a quart-size saucepan, leaving excess fat in the skillet.
    5. Add onions, mushrooms, chili beans and baked beans to the sausage all at once.
    6. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes over medium heat.
    7. Meanwhile, stir together baking mix and water in a small bowl.
    8. Pour bean mixture over crescent rolls. Top with dollops of biscuit mixture.
    9. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    10. Cool in pan 5 minutes before serving.
