4 (3 oz each) cube steaks | ||
1 small onion, chopped | ||
Freshly ground Hy-Vee black pepper | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee reduced-sodium beef broth or white wine | ||
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee reduced-sodium soy sauce | ||
½ c. fat-free sour cream | ||
2 tsp. Hy-Vee prepared horseradish | ||
½ tsp. Hy-Vee dill weed | ||
Hot mashed potatoes, for serving |
Directions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks and onions; season with pepper. Cook steaks 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until lightly browned.
- Add broth and soy sauce. Cover and simmer 35 to 40 minutes or until steaks are tender.
- Meanwhile, combine sour cream, horseradish and dill in a small bowl. Add to skillet and stir well. Heat through.
- Serve steaks with sauce over mashed potatoes, if desired.
