2 Hy-Vee Short Cuts apple wedges
2 Basket & Bushel strawberries
1 (½-in.) slice Hy-Vee Short Cuts cored pineapple, halved
1 drop Over the Top pretty pastels pink food coloring gel, for garnish
Over the top sanding sugars, for garnish
Hy-Vee unsweetened coconut flakes, toasted; for garnish

Directions

  1. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside. Place each flavor of melting wafers in separate small microwave-safe bowls. Microwave each bowl on HIGH at 15-second intervals or until wafers are melted, stirring each time.

  2. Pat dry berries, cherries, orange segments, kiwi slices, apple wedges, strawberries and pineapple half-slices. Dip fruit into desired melted vanilla- or chocolate-flavor coating; shake off excess. Place on prepared baking sheet.

  3. To garnish, tint ¼ cup remaining melted vanilla coating with pink coloring gel; spoon each remaining chocolate- or vanilla-flavor coating into a separate resealable sandwich-size plastic bags. Close each bag and snip off one corner of each bag; pipe onto coated fruits, if desired. Sprinkle coated fruits with sanding sugars or toasted coconut, if desired.

  4. Let fruits stand at room temperature until coating is set. Place fruits in paper baking cups; arrange in a 9½×7¼-in. gift box or on a serving tray.
