Hy-Vee Fort Street Free Week of Groceries Giveaway

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

1. SWEEPSTAKES: The Hy-Vee Fort Street Free Week of Groceries Giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”) consists of four (4) separate, consecutive weekly entry periods (each, an “Entry Period”) as set forth in the schedule in Section 3 below. The Sweepstakes shall commence at the opening of the customer service counter at the Participating Store on the first day of Entry Period 1 and shall end upon completion of the random drawing for Entry Period 4, as set forth in that schedule (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Period”). The sponsor of the Sweepstakes is Hy-Vee, Inc., 5820 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, IA 50266 (“Hy-Vee” or “Sponsor”). In the event of a conflict between the entry instructions and these Sweepstakes rules (the “Official Rules”), these Official Rules shall control. Sponsor’s records regarding the date, time, and eligibility of each entry shall govern and be final with respect to all matters relating to entries and the Sweepstakes Period.

2. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the State of Nebraska who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors and interns) who have, within the past six months, held employment with or performed services for Sponsor, or any other organizations affiliated with the sponsorship, fulfillment, administration, prize support and fulfillment, advertisement, or promotion of the Sweepstakes, and/or their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliate, and successor companies (collectively, “Sweepstakes Entities”), and immediate family members or members of the same households (parents, stepparents, legal guardians, children, stepchildren, siblings, stepsiblings, or spouses (whether related or not) of such persons) at any time during this Sweepstakes are ineligible.

3. HOW TO ENTER: To submit a valid entry, an eligible individual must, during an Entry Period, complete an official paper entry slip available at the customer service counter at the Participating Store and deposit the completed entry slip in the designated entry receptacle at the customer service counter. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. The entry slip requires entrants to provide their name, telephone number, email address, and preferred method of contact. Entry slips will be collected at the customer service counter Monday through Friday during each Entry Period, during the customer service counter’s normal hours of operation. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person per Entry Period. An eligible individual may submit one (1) entry in each of the four (4) Entry Periods, for a maximum of four (4) entries during the Sweepstakes. Entry slips are counted only for the Entry Period during which they are collected and do not carry over to any subsequent Entry Period. All entries must be submitted during an Entry Period to be valid. Illegible, incomplete, altered, or duplicate entry slips are void. Further, by entering into the Sweepstakes, entrant binds himself or herself, as well as entrant’s spouse, children, parents, guardians, heirs, next of kin, and any legal or personal representatives, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, to the terms and conditions contained herein.

4. WINNER SELECTION/NOTIFICATION: One (1) potential Prize Winner will be selected for each Entry Period, for a total of up to four (4) potential Prize Winners during the Sweepstakes. For each Entry Period, Sponsor will select the potential Prize Winner in a random drawing of the entry slips conducted at the Participating Store, on or about the applicable Drawing Date set forth in the schedule in Section 3, from among all eligible entry slips collected at the Participating Store during that Entry Period only. A person may win only one (1) prize during the Sweepstakes. If an entrant who has already been selected as a potential Prize Winner is drawn in a subsequent Entry Period, that entry will be void and Sponsor will draw a replacement entrant from among the remaining eligible entry slips collected during that same Entry Period. If no eligible entries are received for an Entry Period, no prize will be awarded for that Entry Period. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Each potential Prize Winner will be notified on or about the applicable Drawing Date by phone and/or email, using the entrant’s preferred method of contact as provided on the entry slip, and shall be required to accept the prize within forty-eight (48) hours of notification or the prize shall be deemed refused and may be forfeited at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

5. ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning depend on the total number of valid entries received during the applicable Entry Period.

6. PRIZES: There are up to four (4) prizes to be awarded, one (1) per Entry Period. Each prize consists of one (1) Hy-Vee gift card. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each prize is $250.00. The approximate total retail value of all prizes will not exceed $1,000.00, based on a maximum of four (4) prizes at $250.00 per prize. Each prize must be claimed and picked up in person by the Prize Winner at the Participating Store, at a date and time designated by Sponsor, within five (5) days after the date of notification; prizes not timely claimed may be forfeited at Sponsor’s sole discretion, and Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, select an alternate potential Prize Winner from among the remaining eligible entry slips collected during the same Entry Period.

7. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: No cash redemption of a prize is permitted, except where required by law. No transfer or assignment of a prize is permitted, except by Sponsor. No substitutions, except Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its sole discretion. Each gift card is subject to any terms and conditions printed on or accompanying the gift card. WINNERS AGREE TO ACCEPT THE PRIZE “AS IS,” AND SPONSOR MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO THE PRIZE. All U.S. federal, state, and local taxes, and all other costs and expenses not specifically stated herein as being awarded, are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winner. A Prize Winner may be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the ARV of the prize where required by applicable law. Other restrictions may apply.

8. PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes the consent of each winner to Sponsor’s and its respective agents’ use of the winner’s name, age, photograph, voice, likeness and/or image, and hometown city and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.

9. DATA COLLECTION: Sponsor may be collecting personal data about participants when they enter the Sweepstakes. Personal data includes but is not limited to: name, telephone number, e-mail address, and preferred method of contact. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants hereby agree to all personal information uses and disclaimers as explained in the above noted privacy policy.

10. GENERAL CONDITIONS: By entering, entrants warrant and represent that they agree to be bound by these Official Rules (including all eligibility requirements) and the decisions of the Sponsor and any appointed agents, which shall be final and binding in all respects. By entering, entrants, on behalf of himself or herself and his or her heirs, assignees, executors and administrators, agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless any and all claims against the Sponsor and all Sweepstakes Entities, from and against any and all liability for any injury, including but not limited to personal injury, bodily injury (including without limitation wrongful death or disability), property damage, or loss or damage of any other kind arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from delivery, non-delivery, acceptance, possession, use of a prize, or from participation in this Sweepstakes, or any Sweepstakes-related activity, whether or not such injury, loss or damage arises in whole or in part from the negligence of the Sponsor or Sweepstakes Entities their affiliates, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, and agents of and any and all Internet servers and access providers, and agree that none of the Sweepstakes Entities shall be responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Sweepstakes related materials or for stolen, late, lost, garbled, delayed, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, postage due, or illegible entries, or incorrect, inaccurate transcription or loss of entry information for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation, human error. If, in the exclusive judgment of the Sponsor, this promotion becomes compromised in any way, Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the Sweepstakes offer and select a winner(s) from all eligible entries received prior to the act that compromised the Sweepstakes. Any attempt to deliberately damage or subvert the Sweepstakes or its operation is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsor or its agents. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility qualifications of winner(s), and to disqualify any individual if Sponsor believes such person has tampered with the entry, or has acted in violation of these Official Rules. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the last day of the Sweepstakes Period, notice will be posted at www.hy-vee.com. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. 11. DISPUTES/CHOICE OF LAW: Entrants agree that (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, or the determination of the winners shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively before a court located in the State of Iowa; (b) to the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive any right to a jury trial in any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, or the determination of the winners; (c) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Sweepstakes but in no event attorney’s fees; and (d) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant, and Sweepstakes Entities in connection with the Sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflicts of law principles or rules, and all proceedings shall take place in Des Moines, Iowa.

12. PRIZE WINNERS AND OFFICIAL RULES: A copy of these Official Rules and the Sweepstakes results may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, postage prepaid written request to Hy-Vee, Inc., Attn: Hy-Vee Fort Street Free Week of Groceries Giveaway, 5820 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, IA 50266. Written requests must be received by Monday, October 5, 2026.
