    1 ¼ c. vanilla-flavored white chocolate melting wafers
    1 tbsp. Hy-Vee vegetable shortening
    ½ tsp. orange food coloring gel
    8 small Basket & Bushel strawberries

    • Wax paper
    • Small saucepan
    • Heat-safe glass bowl
    • Pastry bag or resealable plastic bag
    • Small round piping tip

    Directions

    1. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside. Bring 2-inches of water to a simmer in a small saucepan. Place melting wafers and vegetable shortening in a heat-safe glass bowl. Allow mixture to melt slowly; stirring occasionally. Remove bowl from saucepan and add food coloring gel; stir until tinted.

    2. Dip strawberries into melted orange-tinted white chocolate mixture. Place on prepared baking sheet. Let stand until set.

    3. Spoon remaining orange-tinted white chocolate into a pastry bag fitted with a small round piping tip. Pipe vertical lines on coated strawberries; return to prepared baking sheet. Let stand until completely set.
