You may know this dipped ice cream dessert from the state fair, but check out how easy it is to make at home.
Servings and Ingredients
|1 rectangular box of Hy-Vee vanilla or other flavor ice cream|
|1 (12 oz) package Hy-Vee chocolate chips|
|½ c. Hy-Vee vegetable oil|
|crushed Hy-Vee peanuts and other toppings|
- Cut ice cream into rectangles, skewer with a stick and freeze.
- After the ice cream is fully frozen, melt chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave oven. Let chocolate cool to room temperature.
- Dip the ice cream in the chocolate, spoon chocolate over it as necessary to completely cover. If desired, roll in crushed peanuts or other toppings while chocolate is still soft. Freeze to set chocolate.
