    Directions

    1. Make and bake your cupcakes; cool completely.

    2. To fill cupcakes, push an apple corer about half way into the cupcake and twist to remove the center; reserve centers, if desired.

    3. Spoon or pipe in your desired filling. If desired, you can cut the top of the removed cupcake center to place over the filling.

    4. Use a 16-inch pastry or decorating bag fitted with a large or extra large round or star pastry tip. Fill the bag with your favorite pre-made or homemade frosting and twist the top of the bag so the frosting moves to the tip's opening. Hold the bag end in one hand and direct the tip end with the other hand. Place the bag at the center of the cupcake and hold it at an angle. Keep the pressure constant and squeeze a mound of frosting onto the surface.

    5. Keeping pressure consistent, move the bag counterclockwise and begin spiraling the frosting. Once you have formed a center ring, continue piping until you have reached the outer edge of the cupcake.

    6. Once you have reached the edge of the cupcake, begin moving the tip inward and upward to form a tall mound of frosting.
