CEDAR LAKE, Ind. (Oct. 5, 2026) — The helpful smile of a local Strack & Van Til employee is now featured on the side of a semi-trailer to recognize the exemplary level of service she provides.
Carrie Todd’s picture was unveiled Friday during a celebration at the Cedar Lake Strack & Van Til. Todd, the benefit and payroll supervisor at the Strack & Van Til corporate office, is a 2025 recipient of the Hy-Vee Legendary Customer Service Award, which recognizes exemplary achievement in providing service that exceeds customers’ expectations. Strack & Van Til is owned by Hy-Vee, an Iowa-based supermarket chain.
Hy-Vee first started featuring long-serving employees on semi-truck wraps in 1997, and it has since become a cherished tradition at the company.
