IOWA CITY, Iowa (June 19, 2026) — The helpful smile of an Iowa City Hy-Vee employee is now featured on the side of a semi-trailer to recognize the exemplary level of service she provides to customers.
Ann Morris’ picture was unveiled Friday during a celebration at the Waterfront Hy-Vee in Iowa City, where she serves as a delivery driver. Morris is a 2025 recipient of the Hy-Vee Legendary Customer Service Award, which recognizes exemplary achievement in providing service that exceeds customers’ expectations.
Morris started at the Waterfront Hy-Vee in 1999 and enjoys making connections with customers from all sorts of local businesses and organizations. She makes deliveries for each department in the store and takes pride in dropping off items on time and in perfect condition. Morris said she has stayed at the Waterfront Hy-Vee for more than 25 years because of its team of supportive leaders.
“I work with wonderful people who have taught me to always do the right thing no matter what,” Morris said. “No one has to ask you, you just take care of people and we know that it’s just going to get done.”
Hy-Vee first started featuring long-serving employees on semi-truck wraps in 1997, and it has since become a cherished tradition at the company.
