Hy-Vee to Bring Convenience to Fans During Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (July 14, 2022) — Fans attending Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend, July 22-24 at Iowa Speedway, will have the opportunity to enjoy the quality, convenience and superior service of a Hy-Vee shopping experience at the race track.
Celebrating the return of INDYCAR to Iowa with a unique three-day festival filled with thrilling racing, awesome music and great food, fans will also be able to purchase the items they need to complete their weekend experience right there on site through the Hy-Vee Mini Market and Hy-Vee Aisles Online at-track shopping options.
The Hy-Vee Mini Markets will be conveniently located on both RV Hill and in the main campground areas at Iowa Speedway during Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend. Featuring the distinct and identifiable red and white Hy-Vee branding, the temporary trailers will feature basic grocery market items as well as camping and outdoor needs to help service the thousands of campers that will enjoy the fun and excitement on and off the track throughout the weekend.
All ticketholders will be able to visit the Mini Market in the main campground while access to the RV Hill Mini Market will be limited to those with Turn 3 Terrace Camping weekend passes. The Hy-Vee Mini Markets will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. CT, Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend.
Fans should plan ahead and bring credit or debit cards for all of their purchases as only cashless payments will be accepted at the Hy-Vee Mini Markets, and for all concessions and on-site services provided at Iowa Speedway during Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend.
Hy-Vee’s convenient Aisles Online delivery service will also be available for fans at Iowa Speedway. Race weekend attendees can download the Hy-Vee app and simply select “pickup” as their shopping preference and choose one of the two Hy-Vee Mini Market locations at the track as their delivery destination. After selecting an available delivery timeslot, fans can add grocery items to their online shopping cart and then place their order. Limited delivery timeslots will be available and fans are asked to place their online orders at least two hours prior to the specific delivery time at the Iowa Speedway Hy-Vee Mini Market locations. Adult beverages will also be available through the Hy-Vee Aisles Online delivery service and purchasers must be at least 21 years old with a valid proof of identification.
Free Family Friday will wave the green flag to begin Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend on Friday, July 22 when everyone will be welcome to watch the opening day of action for free. No tickets will be required and first-come, first served grandstand seating will be available to watch the practice sessions from both Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. In addition, fans will be able to access the infield paddock area at Iowa Speedway after the on-track activity is complete with activities planned throughout the evening, including an all-driver autograph session in the garage area between 6-7 pm.
Saturday and Sunday will bring plenty of excitement on and off the track. The rising stars of racing will host the first race of the weekend with Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires competing on Saturday, July 23 before the first race of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES doubleheader takes the green flag that afternoon – the Hy-VeeDeals.com 250 presented by DoorDash. Country music superstar Tim McGraw will perform live on stage before the race Saturday while popular country duo Florida Georgia Line will host an evening concert after the checkered flag.
On Sunday, July 24, pop music icon Gwen Stefani will start the day with a matinee concert at Iowa Speedway before the final NTT INDYCAR SERIES race of the weekend – the Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300 presented by Google. After the on-track action is complete, fans will enjoy country music star Blake Shelton live on stage. Hy-Vee INDYCAR Race Weekend will include weekend-long activities at Iowa Speedway as well, including 50 food trucks competing in the Food Truck Challenge, Kids Zone activation and much, much more.
