Hy-Vee Partners with Jubilee United Methodist Church Freedom Center to Host Community Vaccination Clinic on Tuesday, March 16

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (March 14, 2021) — Hy-Vee, Inc. announces today that it is partnering with the Jubilee United Methodist Church Freedom Center in Waterloo, Iowa, to host a community COVID-19 vaccination clinic for area residents.
The clinic will be held Tuesday, March 16 from noon to 4 p.m., or while supply lasts, at the Jubilee United Methodist Church Freedom Center located at 1621 E. Fourth St. in Waterloo. Vaccinations will be available by appointment only by visiting https://www.hy-vee.com/my-pharmacy/covid-vaccine-consent, selecting “Event” and then “Waterloo #2 Hy-Vee Jubilee United Methodist Church Freedom Center Vaccination Event”.
Vaccines will be available to individuals included within Iowa’s Phase 1B priority group, including:
• Teachers and school staff (Pre-K through 12) and childcare workers
• Individuals 65 years of age and older
• Individuals 64 years of age and younger with underlying medical conditions as outlined by the CDC.
Approximately 200 individuals are expected to be vaccinated. Recipients of the vaccine will receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. Individuals will be scheduled for a second dose appointment approximately 21 days after their first dose appointment.
Vaccine recipients are asked to remain in their vehicles until their appointment time slot. They should bring the following to their appointment: insurance card (if they have insurance) and Medicare Part B red, white and blue card (if Medicare recipient); government-issued photo ID; other documentation such as a work ID if needed to prove certain eligibility; and a mask to wear.
