Hy-Vee Looking to Hire More than 150 Workers for New Grimes Location

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (Aug. 23, 2021) — Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking more than 150 Central Iowans to help staff the new Grimes Hy-Vee store, located at 351 N.E. Gateway Drive in Grimes. The store, Hy-Vee’s first entirely reimagined grocery store in its eight-state territory, is scheduled to open next month.
From online personal shoppers and cashiers to food service clerks, stockers and more, Hy-Vee is seeking to fill more than 150 part-time positions, as well as several full-time positions, at the new location. The Grimes Hy-Vee store will include many new departments and features as well as the full range of fresh meat, produce and meal solutions customers enjoy today at Hy-Vee’s more than 280 stores across the Midwest.
The Grimes store, which opens next month, is expected to create more than 400 jobs in the area.
