GRIMES, Iowa (Aug. 6, 2026) — The helpful smile of a recently retired Hy-Vee employee is now featured on the side of a semi-trailer to honor the more than 40 years of service he has dedicated to the company.
Tom Nardy’s picture was unveiled Thursday during a celebration at Hy-Vee’s Helpful Smiles Technology Innovation Center in Grimes. Nardy serves as remote pricing and data manager for Hy-Vee.
Hy-Vee first started featuring long-serving employees on semi-truck wraps in 1997, and it has since become a cherished tradition at the company.
