JOHNSTON & URBANDALE, Iowa (June 12, 2026) — The helpful smiles of four local Hy-Vee employees are now featured on the sides of company semi-trailers.
Three of the employees work at the Johnston Hy-Vee store while one of them works at the Urbandale Hy-Vee. On Friday, they each saw their faces on the semi-trucks during ceremonies outside their respective stores.
Julie Headley serves as human resource manager at the Johnston Hy-Vee. She is a 2025 recipient of the Hy-Vee Legendary Customer Service Award, which recognizes exemplary achievement in providing service that exceeds customers’ expectations.
Tim Jelsma serves as meat department manager at the Johnston Hy-Vee and is celebrating more than 40 years of service with the company.
Jill Lee serves as retail product and pricing specialist at the Urbandale Hy-Vee and is being honored for more than 40 years of service with the company.
Loren Navratil serves as seafood clerk at the Johnston Hy-Vee and is celebrating more than 40 years of service with the company.
Hy-Vee first started featuring long-serving employees on semi-truck wraps in 1997, and it has since become a cherished tradition at the company.
