Hy-Vee Partners With Local Church and Radio Stations to Host COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics for the Latino Community in Des Moines on Saturday, May 22

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (May 18, 2021) — Hy-Vee, Inc. announces today that two COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, on Saturday, May 22, for the local Latino community.
• The first vaccination clinic will be from 9 a.m.-noon in the La Ray & La Reina Latino Radio Stations parking lot, located at 1541 E. Grand Ave., Des Moines, Iowa 50316. To schedule an appointment at this clinic, individuals can visit: https://www.hy-vee.com/my-pharmacy/covid-vaccine-consent?event=40070c58-005d-4f1b-bbfd-44aaa4a08d73. Walk-ins will also be welcome.
• The second vaccination clinic will be from 1-4 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church located at 15 Indianola Road, Des Moines, Iowa, 50315. To schedule an appointment at this clinic, individuals can visit: https://www.hy-vee.com/my-pharmacy/covid-vaccine-consent?event=a4f008a3-4940-4546-913f-7eb5176cd5de. Walk-ins will also be welcome.
Individuals will receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which is authorized for individuals 12 years of age and older. Minors must have guardian consent to receive the vaccine. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine requires two doses. Individuals can receive their second dose of the vaccine at their local Hy-Vee Pharmacy 21 days after their first dose.
It is recommended (but not required) that vaccine recipients bring the following to their vaccination: insurance card (if they have insurance) and Medicare Part B red, white and blue card (if Medicare recipient); and photo ID. Masks are required. If individuals do not have insurance, they can still be vaccinated.
