Hy-Vee to Host COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in Omaha/Papillion Metro for Teachers, School Staff and Childcare Workers on Saturday, March 13

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (March 10, 2021) — Hy-Vee, Inc. announces today that it is hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for approximately 2,000 teachers, school staff and childcare workers in the Omaha and Papillion metro.
The vaccination clinic will take place at Papillion Landing Community Recreation Center and Field House from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 13. Vaccination appointments are required and must be made in advance online at www.hy-vee.com/my-pharmacy/covid-vaccine-consent.
The online appointment scheduler is now open for this event and can be accessed by selecting the “Event” option and then selecting one of the time window options under “Omaha and Papillion Metro Vaccination Clinic.” Individuals will then be able to choose their preferred appointment time and complete the digital vaccine consent form.
Hy-Vee is prioritizing teachers, school staff and childcare workers in areas where it receives federal vaccine allocation, following President Biden’s recent directive to prioritize the group. Those included in the priority group include:
• Teachers and staff at Pre K-12 schools, childcare centers and Head Start and Early Head Start programs
• Licensed childcare providers, including center-based and family care providers
• Classroom aides
• Bus drivers
• Janitors
• Counselors
• Administration staff
• Cafeteria workers
• Substitute teachers
The vaccine being administered at the clinic will be Pfizer-BioNTech. Recipients of the vaccine will be contacted by Hy-Vee at a later date to schedule their second dose appointment.
Vaccine recipients are asked to remain in their vehicles until their appointment time slot. They should bring the following to their appointment: insurance card (if they have insurance) and Medicare Part B red, white and blue card (if Medicare recipient); government-issued photo ID; school ID/badge; and a mask to wear.
