Hy-Vee Partners with Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church to Host Vaccination Clinic for Church Members on Friday, March 19

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (March 16, 2021) — Hy-Vee, Inc. announces today that it is partnering with Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church in Des Moines, Iowa, to host a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for its church members.
The clinic will be held Friday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church located at 1271 E. Ninth St. in Des Moines. Vaccinations will be available by appointment only. The church will reach out to its members with details on how to sign up for an appointment.
Vaccines will be available to individuals included within Iowa’s Phase 1B priority group, including:
• Teachers and school staff (Pre-K through 12) and childcare workers
• Individuals 65 years of age and older
• Individuals 64 years of age and younger with underlying medical conditions as outlined by the CDC.
Approximately 500 individuals are expected to be vaccinated. Recipients of the vaccine will receive the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. Individuals will be scheduled for a second dose appointment approximately 21 days after their first dose appointment.
Vaccine recipients are asked to remain in their vehicles until their appointment time slot. They should bring the following to their appointment: insurance card (if they have insurance) and Medicare Part B red, white and blue card (if Medicare recipient); photo ID (if available); other documentation such as a work ID if needed to prove certain eligibility; and a mask to wear.
