Throughout her education, Kylene took part in several internships. Her experiences included LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center – Community Outreach (Jackson, TN), K-State Research & Extension (Topeka, KS), Derby Dining Center (Manhattan, KS), McConnell Air Force Base (Wichita, KS) and Kansas Medical Center (Andover, KS). She is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as, the Kansas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Kylene is committed to making nutrition realistic and functional for everyday life. Whether you need to adjust meals for a medical condition or are simply out of dinner ideas, Kylene can lend a hand!

During this 10-week weight loss program you will meet weekly with your Hy-Vee dietitian who will help you develop an eating plan that will work for life. You will receive a weekly log book which corresponds to the 8 daily goals of the program. Health screenings including cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, blood pressure, and glucose will be collected at sessions 1 and 10, and weight will be recorded weekly. Expect to lose; the average weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds per week! Appointment times are flexible, evening times are available. Ten weeks of personalized attention plus two complete sessions of health screenings, at an incredible value! Payment plans are available.

Health Screenings - $45

Know your numbers to know your risk! This health screening will provide you the information you need to be a healthier you. Screenings include total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, blood glucose, blood pressure, body fat percentage and body mass index. You must be fasting 8 to 12 hours prior to the appointment to receive accurate results. Pair this screening with personal shopping assistance to maximize benefits!

Metabolic Testing - $49
By appointment
Do you need help losing weight or getting past the dreaded plateau? If you do, then come in and get your metabolic rate measured. This painless, yet in-depth, test will measure your resting metabolic rate and tell you how many calories you burn per day. Your Hy-Vee dietitian, Kylene, will be doing private testing. Join your Hy-Vee dietitian as she guides you through the store and discusses healthy options in every aisle. Get help with label reading, meal planning, specialized diets and more. Cooking Classes – Fee Varies
Join your Hy-Vee dietitian once a month for a cooking class centered around healthy eating. Learn tips and tricks for modifying recipes to add nutrition and flavor to boot! All classes are perfect for diabetics and will be gluten-free! Enjoy an evening of learning and recipe sampling, bring a friend for even more fun! Corporate Wellness - Fee varies
