Abbie Scott

Abbie (she/her) is an anti-diet registered dietitian with over a decade of experience in the nutrition field. Born and raised in Iowa, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Iowa State University in 2012, where she also completed her dietetic internship. Since then, Abbie has worked in a variety of settings as an RD, including private practice, schools, long-term care, retail grocery stores, pediatric feeding clinics, and a nationally recognized eating disorder treatment center.

Abbie is inspired by each and every client she meets and is grateful for the ability to walk alongside them as they heal their relationships with food and body image. While dietitians are often labeled as nutrition experts, Abbie wholeheartedly believes individuals are the experts of their own bodies. During her sessions, she blends her unique counseling skills, motivational interviewing, and anti-diet lens with nutrition therapy. Abbie aligns with the Health at Every Size principles and believes weight-inclusive care should be accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds, and diagnoses.

In 2022, Abbie became a Certified Intuitive Eating counselor and is excited to continue bringing mindfulness tools into client sessions. In her free time, Abbie loves spending time with friends and family, deepening her yoga/meditation practice, and exploring new creative outlets. You can always count on her to have a new book, TV show, movie, podcast (and of course food) recommendation for you!
