    2 oz. roasted pecan whiskey
    ½ oz. Culinary Tours bourbon maple syrup
    3 dash(es) orange bitters
    Orange peel, for garnish
    Hy-Vee pecan halves, toasted; for garnish

    • Ice-filled cocktail shaker with strainer
    • Lowball glass from Alchemi smoker kit
    • Oak wood chips
    • Lighter or matches
    • Old fashioned glass with ice
    • Vegetable peeler


    1. Add whiskey, syrup and bitters to an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Cover and shake until well combined and chilled. Strain into the lowball glass from the Alchemi single serve smoker cocktail kit; set aside.

    2. Fill the fine mesh strainer from the smoker cocktail kit with oak wood chips. Set smoker on top of glass with whiskey drink. Use a handheld butane kitchen torch to light the wood chips. Allow to smoke for 60 to 90 seconds or up to desired smoke level. Carefully remove smoker from the glass.

    3. Pour whiskey drink into 1 (12-oz.) old fashioned glass with ice. Garnish with an orange peel, if desired.
