3 tbsp. Hy-Vee unsalted butter, softened
1 tbsp. fresh sage, finely chopped, plus additional for garnish
4 Just Bare bone-in split chicken breasts, about 2-lbs.
Hy-Vee salt
Hy-Vee ground black pepper
Lemons, cut into wedges, for garnish

  • Aluminum foil
  • Small bowl

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil; set aside. 

  2. Mash butter and sage together in a small bowl with a fork. Loosen the skin over the chicken breasts and gently spread sage butter over chicken breast and under skin. Smooth skin back over meat and season with salt and pepper. Place on to prepared pan.

  3. Roast, uncovered, 20 to 25 minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Serve chicken with a squeeze of lemon and additional sage, if desired.
