Kristina Swanson, RDN, LDN is a Hy-Vee registered dietitian specializing in general wellness, weight management, sports nutrition, heart health and general wellness. Kristina believes in a food first approach to health and that all foods fit in a balanced lifestyle. Kristina will help you find an individualized approach to reaching your health and wellness goals.
Before becoming a Hy-Vee registered dietitian, Kristina graduated from the University of Minnesota and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City after graduation. Through this program, Kristina had the opportunity to gain valuable experiences like working in the clinical setting, teaching a cooking camp for kids, working with eating disorders and WIC, and learning from sports dietitians. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and is licensed in the state of Minnesota. Kristina has a passion for food, nutrition, and fitness, and loves helping people follow a healthy lifestyle. Kristina loves working for Hy-Vee because she enjoys educating people on nutrition and helping them find delicious products that can help them follow a healthy, balanced lifestyle! In her free time, Kristina enjoys cooking and trying new foods, exercising, spending time outside, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
