    Servings and Ingredients

    Toasted Pecans
    ½ c. Hy-Vee chopped pecans
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee dark brown sugar , packed
½ tsp. Hy-Vee kosher sea salt
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee ground cinnamon
    Old Fashioned
2 oz. Wild Turkey 101 Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey
    3 tbsp. Toasted Pecans
    3 dash(es) bitters
1 orange peel, plus additional for garnish

    Things To Grab

    • Large baking sheet
    • Large tempered cocktail glass
    • Lighter
    • Whiskey glass

    1. Make Toasted Pecans: Preheat oven to 335 degrees. Place pecans on a large baking sheet and toss with brown sugar, kosher sea salt, and cinnamon. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until pecans are toasted. Set aside and cool.

    2. Add whiskey to a large tempered cocktail glass. Using a lighter, ignite the alcohol. Add Toasted Pecans and bitters to glass and squeeze one orange peel over the flame. Stir to combine.

      Hyvee Culinary Expert Tip
Alcohol is very flammable! To avoid burns, use a lighter with a long neck and take caution. The flame from the drink may be faint or transparent, but will still be very hot. Make sure the drink is no longer on fire after the orange peel has been added.
