Meet Chef David!

I grew up here in Davenport, Iowa, in a family of six, including my identical twin.  Our family always looks for ways to challenge one or another to see ourselves as successful. I have a beautiful wife who has made a huge impact on my life, and had always supported me in my journeys. I have a passion for sports and love to play golf, but more than anything I enjoy watching my favorite team - the Chicago Bears.

My biggest passion is food. I have had experience in the restaurant business since I was 14 years of age. I have managed three different establishments and spent many hours watching and learning from my superiors. I recently came from Granite City Food and Brewery which I worked from 2005 to 2013 as the culinary partner, where I built many relationships and made many good friends. I love to coach and share with others the knowledge I have gained over the years. A good chef is always learning. I continue to challenge myself daily, both in and out of the kitchen. I'm excited to join the Hy-Vee team and open the next chapter of my life. So come see me at Hy-Vee on Utica Ridge Rd. in Davenport, Iowa!

My name is Gus Sullivan and I has born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. I have lived in Davenport, Iowa, for the past 16 years. 

I’ve been working in the food industry for 15 years. I started off in the fast food business as a line cook. After I gained experience and customer services skills, I expanded my career into corporate high-volume restaurants, such as Texas Roadhouse and Granite City Food & Brewery. I’ve been inspired by the other chefs I’ve worked with, and never take an opportunity for granted. I’m always taking opportunities to learn new food trends and techniques to further my education. My name is Beau Eastin. I was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa.

I’ve been in the food industry for 17 years. I’ve been a kitchen manager, have opened three restaurants, and have served as executive chef at two different establishments. I’m very excited to bring my knowledge and most important, my creativity, to Chef Creations at Hy-Vee. So come see me, Chef Beau, and let me assist you in any of your culinary needs.
