    Serves 8
    2 lbs. lean ground beef
    1 c. skim milk
    ½ c. ground flax seed
    ½ c. dry bread crumbs
    ½ c. chopped onion
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    ½ tsp. celery salt
    ¼ tsp. ground thyme
    ¼ c. ketchup


    1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, milk, ground flax, bread crumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, garlic powder, dry mustard, celery salt and thyme. Mix well.
    2. Pat mixture into a 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pan.
    3. Spread ketchup over top of loaf.
    4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1-1/2 hours, until no pink remains.
    5. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes.
    6. Remove from pan, and place on a platter to serve.
