    This julep was made for the Holidays. Give it a festive Christmas garnish with fresh mint leaves and cranberries.

    2 tbsp. fresh mint, plus additional for garnish
    2 oz. Basil Hayden's bourbon whiskey
    1 oz. simple syrup
    3 oz. Hy-Vee 100% cranberry juice

    • 8-oz. cocktail glass
    • Ice cubes

    Directions

    1. Combine cranberries, mint leaves, bourbon whiskey, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Muddle mixture. 

    2. Add ice cubes and cranberry juice to cocktail shaker. Cover and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled 8-oz. glass. Garnish with additional mint leaves and fresh cranberries, if desired.
