Hot Smoked Turkey Cubanos
Smoked turkey and roasted red peppers put an unexpected twist on the classic Cuban sandwich.
Servings and Ingredients
|4 sweet dough mini sub buns, such as King's Hawaiian, split|
|4 tsp. Hy-Vee Dijon mustard|
|1 lbs. smoked turkey, thinly sliced|
|½ lbs. Swiss cheese, thinly sliced|
|1 medium dill pickle, sliced lengthwise|
|1 c. roasted red peppers, drained|
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Spread mustard on bottom halves of buns. Top each with turkey, Swiss cheese, pickle slice and roasted pepper.
- Place sandwiches on prepared baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
