Cowtown Cookers Improved Bandalero Beans
Servings and Ingredients
|1 (30 oz) can Hy-Vee pork and beans|
|1 (15 oz) can Hy-Vee chili-style beans|
|1 (18 oz) bottle barbecue sauce, plus additional as needed|
|1 large onion, diced|
|1 clove(s) garlic, diced|
|1 lbs. smoked meat, preferably brisket|
|1 (16 oz) can Hy-Vee kidney beans, drained and rinsed|
|1 (15.5 oz) can butter beans, drained and rinsed|
|1 (15.5 oz) can lima beans, drained and rinsed|
|1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed|
|1 (16 oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed|
- Preheat oven to 275 degrees or prepare smoker.
- Combine pork and beans, chili beans, barbecue sauce, onion, garlic and smoked meat in a Dutch oven. Stir in kidney, butter, lima, black and pinto beans.
- Bake or smoke for 2 hours. Stir in additional barbecue sauce, if necessary.
