Chef Jamie Plautz’s passion for cooking began at a very young age, using her grandma for guidance and inspiration. Since that time, Jamie kept that love of cooking, taking culinary classes offered in her high school. After high school, Jamie attended Iowa Western Community College, where in 2015, she attained her Culinary Arts and Restaurant and Hospitality Management degrees. While at Iowa Western, she competed in various competitions and events.
Chef Jamie says that her favorite part of working for Hy-Vee is the fact that every day at work is new and exciting. She loves to create new recipes for the various departments in the store, and offers a wide range of cooking classes and expertise.
