Chef Tim has worked for Hy-Vee at Crossroads Drive in Rochester since 2000. He spent 10 years in the produce department. Having enjoyed cooking at home for family and friends, he decided to go to culinary school and trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Minneapolis. He earned a certificate in the culinary arts with President’s honors, and began as the chef at Crossroads Drive on January 1, 2013.

In the store Chef Tim provides confidence to customers as they shop the aisles looking for the right ingredient for their meals, and presents new products to customers to make dinner time easier. You will also find him in the kitchen helping with our Sunday brunch buffets.  You can find him making ready-to-eat meals that can be warmed up in the comfort of your home. You can also find him in the meat department where he creates ideas for a unique meal at home. Chef Tim holds cooking classes for people who want to learn a new technique or dish. He and our in-store cheese specialist Karen team up to provide fantastic cheese tastings that are a real treat for anyone looking for recipes and great cheese pairings.
