Kids in the Kitchen - Go Green for Earth Day!

Kids will have the opportunity to taste new foods, put the food groups into practice, and participate in making snacks and recipes. Heather, your West Locust Street Hy-Vee dietitian, will direct the class on how to prepare fun foods the whole family can enjoy! Ages 4 to 11 years old are encouraged to attend. Cost for the class is $10 per child. You must complete online registration to reserve your child's spot (limited spots are available). Before the class starts, please pay at the Customer Service counter. An employee will give you a proof of payment ticket which your child will bring to Heather in the Market Grille. If your child has any food allergies, or if you have any questions prior to the session, please contact Heather directly by phone at (563) 324-9948 or [email protected]. We ask that a parent/guardian be present during the class. The Market Grill is offering half-price appetizers to parents/guardians of kids participating in the class. This month's theme is: Go Green for Earth Day! In honor of Earth Day, we will complete 3 fun activities and one cooking recipe, which will include: Vegetable Stamping, Cereal Bird Feeder, Plant a Seed and Healthier Dirt Cups. *If this is your child's first time participating in a Kids in the Kitchen class at the West Locust Street Hy-Vee location, please fill out the attached event waiver and bring it with you to the class.
