Hy-Vee is providing FREE A1C screenings in November! This event will take place on Thursday, November 7, from 1-5 p.m. at West Circle Hy-Vee.
 

Registered Dietitian Sara will conduct a simple blood test, and review the results with you immediately following the test.

Hemoglobin A1C is a blood test that individuals living with diabetes use to manage their blood glucose levels, and provides information about an individual’s average levels of blood glucose over a 2-3 month period.

For this event, we will be accepting appointments and walk-ins. Priority given to those with appointments.

FAQs:
1. Do I need to fast? No, you do not need to fast for this screening. Please eat, drink, and... take medications as prescribed.
2. What if I don't register? Walk-ins will be screened on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
3. Do I get a copy of my results? Yes.
4. Will it take place rain or shine (or snow?) Yes, in the event of inclement weather, we may need to move the event to inside the store. For the most up-to-date information, please follow this event on Facebook.
5. How long does the screening take? Each screening will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
6. Do I need to provide my insurance card? No. This event is free and we do not bill insurance. We are grateful to our generous sponsors (below) for allowing us to provide these screenings free of charge.
