Hy-Vee is providing FREE A1C screenings in November! Screenings at Oakdale will be on Nov. 21!

Jena, our Registered Dietitian, will conduct a simple blood test, and review the results with you immediately following the test.
Hemoglobin A1C is a blood test that individuals living with diabetes use to manage their blood glucose levels, and provides information about an individual’s average levels of blood glucose over a 2-3 month period.

Walk-ins welcomed, but priority given to those with appointments by pre-registering here.

FAQs:
1.Is this a fasting screening? No it is not, you may eat and take any medications you need to before the screening.
2.What if I don't register? Walk-ins are first come, first served; we use the registration more as a way to gauge how many will be coming to the event. We don't require you to register ahead of time.
3.Do I get a copy of my results? Yes! We'll print them off for your records at your screening.
4.Will it take place rain or shine (or mostly likely snow)? Yes, typically we are still able to get the machine here, we may just need to move the event inside to the Dietitian's office. For the most up-to-date even information make sure to follow us on Facebook!
