Simple Fix FREEZER MEALS Workshop ~ Keeping meals simple with Hy-Vee!

What should I expect at a Freezer Meals Class? On the day of the workshop, all your groceries will be shopped for and ready for you to assemble! Most recipes are fairly simple; perfect for those who don't cook much or don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Allow yourself one hour to one and a half hours depending on the number of meals you will be assembling.
We will explain the process and direct you how to assemble your meals at the different meal-building stations. Freezer friendly containers and freezer storage bags will be provided for you. Plan to have FUN and leave the clean-up to us! This can be a great time with friends, co-workers and family, so please spread the word!
Holidays and family get-togethers are coming up, so Freezer Meals can be a perfect solution to end meal-time frenzy :)
Do I need to bring anything? Yes-- Bring something to take your meals home (preferably a cooler or insulated tote bag). Also a box, laundry basket or plastic tote will work, too. You will want to ensure that your meals stay cold until you can store in fridge or freezer.
What if I am allergic to gluten or dairy or other foods? If you have special dietary needs, email Joan to discuss what we can do to accommodate your dietary needs. Depending on the recipe, an additional fee may be required to cover the cost of the substituted ingredients.)
HOW DO I SIGN UP? Use the registration form to choose the meals that you will want to assemble. Meals must be paid for in advance for us to get an accurate count on how much food to have ready for the workshop. Registration forms are at Customer Service and in the store at Dietitian's Corner (toward back of produce department). You can also can print off the registration form from this page. HOWEVER, at this time we don't have a way for you to pay online so you must come to the store to pay at Customer Service or call the store and pay with your credit card, otherwise we cannot count you as registered or hold your spot.
Do both Hy-Vee stores in Norfolk host the Freezer Meals Workshops? Not in December, but usually on different dates each month. See "Dietitian's Calendar of Events" on www.Hy-Vee.com . We will feature the same recipes at both Hy-Vee stores for that month.
