We have an exciting and first-time event being held at our store in August. We are hosting our first ever blood drive with the American Red Cross!
As you may have heard in the news, blood banks are at an all-time low with blood reserves and donors are in high demand. Those who choose to donate are making a big difference.
Here is a brief description of the upcoming blood drive:
Join us at Hy-Vee Savage on Monday, August 26, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and donate blood through the American Red Cross!
Pre-registration is encouraged but not required. All individuals who sign up for an appointment slot in advance will be served first and walk-ins may have to wait.
Donating blood is easy and American Red Cross staff can walk you through the entire process from start to finish. Donation takes roughly an hour from start to finish with the actual donation taking only 8 - 10 minutes. You can speed up your appointment time by completing your health questionnaire the morning of the appointment and bringing your responses to staff at the blood drive.
