Our fourth wine dinner of 2014 will feature a return visit from good friend Craig Leutold, owner of Mayhill Winery from Washington. Craig will be introducing the new rose as well as some new varietals and blends.
Welcome Wine: 2013 Rose of Sangiovese
1st course:
Zucchini crab cakes with lime aioli. Washington State is known for its fresh seafood. We concur - with a light crabcake and zucchini with a refreshing lime sauce.
2012 Aurelia Marsanne/Rousanne
2nd course:
Washington apple salad. A light and simple salad featuring Washington apples, spinach and bacon dressed in a delightful champagne vinaigrette.
2012 Gewurztraminer 2011 Chardonnay
3rd course:
Golubtzil. Cabbage leaves stuffed with beef, rice, carrots and onions baked in a special tomato sauce with raisins.
2011 Mourvedre 2012 Winemaker’s Red
4th course:
Rack of lamb chops. Moist, tender lamb chops with a Dijon crust topped with a cherry sauce, served with potato daphinois and haricot vert with caramelized onions.
